FAQ
Clothing: What to wear?
Typical choices include:
Athletic shorts or leggings (padded bike shorts are optional but helpful for longer rides)
A moisture-wicking T-shirt or athletic top
Comfortable sneakers or cycling shoes
Layers are a good idea, especially in the mountains. Mornings can be cool and afternoons warmer, so consider:
A light jacket, windbreaker, or hoodie
Sunglasses and sunscreen
If you bring a jacket or extra layer and don’t want to ride with it, our guides are happy to help carry it for you during the tour.
Dress for comfort, not fashion. If you’re comfortable moving and sweating in it, you’ll be comfortable on the bike.
Event Duration: How long will we ride?
City Tours typically last 1–2 hours, making them an easy and fun way to explore without committing a full day.
Countryside tours and large group tours are fully customizable. We’ll work with you to tailor the route, pace, and duration to match your group’s goals, schedule, and experience level.
If you have a specific timeframe in mind, just let us know—we’re happy to build the tour around it.
Gratuity: Are tips expected?
Gratuity is never expected. Our guides are paid and love what they do.
If you feel your guide provided an exceptional experience and you’d like to show your appreciation, a gratuity of around $10 per guest is appropriate, but entirely optional.
The most important thing to us is that you enjoy the ride.
Cost: Why is the tour more expensive than a typical bike rental?
Our tours are fully private, bespoke experiences, not open group rides. Every booking includes:
A private guide dedicated to your group
Bike rental and helmet for each guest
A thoughtfully planned route tailored to your group’s interests, pace, and experience level
Because the tour is private, we focus on your schedule, your comfort, and your experience from start to finish. There’s no sharing the guide or equipment with other groups.
In short, you’re not just renting a bike, you’re booking a custom, guided experience designed around you.
